ADD & ADHD Program

We are proud to offer a comprehensive evaluation of your attention issues and provide various treatment options. To get started, please complete our New Patient Paperwork by clicking the button below. We will review it carefully and reach out to schedule an evaluation for you if we think we can be helpful or we will reach out to you with alternative recommendations.

There are a number of options that might be right for you. We will get to know you and work with you to create a menu of choices. These might include:

  • An initial evaluation with a psychologist
  • An initial evaluation with a psychiatric prescriber
  • Neuropsychological or psychological testing
  • Individual Skills-Focused Treatment
  • Supportive psychotherapy
  • Group Workshops
  • Workshops for family members

RICBT is now offering ADD & ADHD Services to adults co-ordinated by our Director of ADHD Services, Selene MacKinnon, PsyD. What is ADHD?

ADHD is a condition marked by a combination of symptoms that present differently in different individuals. Fundamentally, it is a problem with executive functioning. More details to come.

What kinds of treatments help people with ADHD?

Both psychotherapy and medication have been proven to be effective in helping to manage symptoms of ADHD.

What can I expect?

You will receive a comprehensive evaluation by either a psychologist, neuropsychologist, psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse practitioner, or an experienced psychotherapist.

How long will treatment last?

The length of treatment will be collaboratively determined by you and your treatment team. Generally speaking, in three months, you and your clinician should have a sense of whether you are on the right track.
