Gabriela Lopez, PhD

Dr. Gabriela López earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of New Mexico. She completed specialized training in adult psychology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. López provides an evidence-based person-centered approach. This means that she incorporates patients’ unique experiences, values, and identity with research to help customize the work they do together. Examples of interventions that she uses include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She also has an interest in working with mothers experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, people who identify as LGBTQ+, racial/ethnic minorities, and people who have multiple minority identities. Overall, she aims to create a safe space to help people be their authentic selves.
