Kristen believes therapy is an opportunity to grow and transform psychologically, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. She provides a safe and supportive environment where clients can process their experiences and reality at their own pace. She is dedicated to educating and empowering others to make real and sustainable changes that will produce a lasting and positive impact on their lives. Together, Kristen and her clients develop goals that can help to remove barriers that are preventing the client from being the version of themselves they want to be. Through this collaborative process, the client can learn how to take on more challenging aspects of their lives while enhancing their strengths.
Kristen utilizes a psychodynamic/object relations framework and many CBT based interventions in her work. This means she is interested in how a client’s past experiences with primary caregivers have shaped their lives. She also provides skills and techniques to help the client change negative thought patterns and improve their current relationships. Her main areas of interest are depression, stress, anxiety, trauma, body image, sleep problems, OCD, parenting, and anger.
